Leo Tolstoy lived in Moscow from 1881. He and his family owned a house in Khamovniki area. A charming church of St. Nickolas of the Weavers is considered to be one of the masterpieces of the medieval Russian architecture. A tiny mansion in the same street still keeps the atmosphere of the Tolstoy's family, including a writing table, a coat and a bicycle of the writer. You will feel the atmosphere of the house, where the writer wrote his famous novels Anna Karenina and Resurrection. Open every day from 10 till 6, except Monday. (4-hour tour)
