What is the difference between tourist visas?
You decided to go on an independent trip and thought about the visa issue - whether it is needed and what is required for registration. In this article, we will talk about what documents are and how they differ.

With a long-term visa, you can come to the territory of a foreign state an unlimited number of times and stay there for more than 91 days.
Differences in number of entries

We are interested in tourist visas for independent travel, we will talk about them in more detail. Preparation of papers is necessary to travel to certain countries: for example, a Schengen visa for a visit to some European countries, a document to the United States, Japan and so on. The list of visa-free countries for residents of Russia is posted on the information portal of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Visa regimes may differ: in some territories there is a full-fledged one, in others it is simplified.
Tourist visa is most often found as a special type of entry permit, it is designed for tourists who come to relax, see local cultural and historical attractions. There are also restrictions: with such a paper it is forbidden to get a job or study, you can not engage in research that affects the interests of the visited territory or requires special permission. The main difference of tourist documents is the period of stay in a foreign country.

Terms of tourist Schengen visas:
Short-term C1 - issued for 30 days; C2 - for 30-90 days;
Long-term: C3 - multiple, issued for a stay of up to 90 days, valid year; C4 - multiple for up to 90 days, valid five years.
A B1/B2 tourist visa is considered a non-immigrant entry document to the United States. Russians can count on a single or multiple document up to 3 years.
Separately, I want to talk about multivisa, travelers often dream about it, and it removes many restrictions on the movement of a person abroad.
Types of multivisa
If you have a limited multi-visa, the number of trips will be strictly indicated. The document is issued for four, five, seven and ten trips. And it depends on you how you use them, you can use them for a month, six months or even a year.
Unlimited multi-visa is also an incredibly coveted document for travel enthusiasts. Such paper is an inaccessible document, the applicant makes a lot of efforts to obtain it, collects a huge number of papers and overcomes complex bureaucratic obstacles.
The Russian Foreign Ministry on its official website posted a certified list of documents from applicants for a Schengen visa in the Russian Federation.
Since January 14, 2013, consular offices of the member states of the European Union have set similar requirements for documents for Russians wishing to obtain Schengen.
Difficulties may arise when processing and submitting documents. For example, a person made mistakes when filling out a questionnaire, his income seems insufficient to officials, and the purpose of visiting the country is questionable.
With independent submission of documents, there is a high probability of refusal, while the consular fee will not be returned, that is, such paperwork is not always justified from the point of view of finance. We advise you to check in advance whether there is a tourist or visa center in the nearest cities that is ready to process your visas.

When going on a trip, always remember about a different climate, different norms of behavior in public places, unusual food and clothing in other countries. We advise you to know the features of the state in which you are going long before the trip - this will help you to be ready for the tour and take the necessary things with you. Travel with pleasure!
