D - happy tourists. What to visit in Beijing?

Beijing (Beijing, meaning "Northern Capital") is the largest city, the capital of China with a population of 27 million 705 thousand people. And, of course, the city of 16,801 km2 simply can not be satisfied with tourists. And where there are satisfied tourists, there are attractions. There are 249 travel agencies in Beijing, but if you like to get acquainted with the sights yourself, then I will tell you about the ones that in my opinion are the best:

1. One of the sections of the Great Wall of China Mutianyu.

Cost: 100 yuan

This is one of the nearest sections of the wall, so it will not take much effort to get acquainted with Mutyanyu. However, this area is not "populated" by tourists, so you can feel alone with nature and history. The Great Wall impresses with its scale, grandeur and even some formidableness. It is better to go to the wall in the summer, then you can enjoy the blooming smell and stunning views.

2. The temple of heaven.

Cost: 10-35 yuan (depending on the season)

There are many temples in Beijing, but it is worth paying attention to. First, the temple is located in a park where pensioners practice various arts. And you can watch it for hours. . Secondly, I learned from history that the temple became a place of worship for the emperors of Heaven and a place of prayer for a rich harvest. Thirdly, the architecture of the temple has its own symbolism: the roof is made of blue (like the sky) tiles, the roof is supported by twenty-eight pillars, in the middle there are four pillars (seasons), then there is one row of twelve columns (months a year), and after them one similar row (twelve hours). Each of the twenty-eight columns corresponds to constellations in the night sky.

3. Summer Palace.

Cost: 60 yuan

Of course, it is recommended to visit the Summer Palace only in the summer, otherwise the very meaning that the creator of the attraction wanted to convey will be lost. The area is very extensive, so if you have time, then spend a day or two at the Summer Palace! You will enjoy a large park, a well-kept lake, on which you can ride by boat, as well as palace buildings, they are free to visit. And if you come in July, you will see the lotuses blooming in the pond. The Summer Palace is the place where you can just relax, enjoy nature and gain new strength.

National Center for the Performing Arts.

Cost: 60-100 yuan

The sight is always worthy of attention: both in the afternoon and in the evening at sunset. But if you want to go inside, it is better to come in the morning / afternoon, as closer to 16:00 the entrance is closed. Tourists call the sight "egg". This name justifies the shape of the center. The building is surrounded by water, the entrance under an artificial lake. Inside there are concert halls: opera, music and theater. Stunning sculptures and historical theatrical exhibitions will take you straight to the theater. You can also buy a guest ticket for a walk through the tunnel, foyer, cafes and exhibitions. I was very surprised by the scenery for the play "And the dawns are quiet here." It turns out that Boris Vasiliev is known here.

5. Beijing Zoo.

Cost: 70 yuan

In the Beijing Zoo, there are many wild and rare animals of China: the sulfur bull, red panda, Humboldt penguin, spotted deer, green-red noble parrot, nahur, etc. And of course, the big panda, which is one of the most visited animals. Unfortunately, Beijing Zoo is very dirty, this can be seen by looking at both animals - unkempt, unkempt, and roads - garbage, dirt. In addition to animals, the Beijing Zoo has artificial plantations of flowers and thickets of natural plants, a small stream, ponds with lotuses and small hills strewn with pavilions and aviaries.
