Finland For the eighth time in a row, it took first place in the annual ranking of the happiest countries and regions of the world, published by the Center for Wellbeing Research at the University of Oxford.
The ranking includes 147 countries. Here's how the seats in the top ten are distributed:
Russia rose from 72nd position to 66th. The United States ranked 24th, Kazakhstan 43rd, and China 68th. The rating is closed by Zimbabwe, Malawi, Lebanon, Sierra Leone and, at the last line, Afghanistan.
The ranking is based on surveys conducted by the American Gallup Institute of Public Opinion between 2022 and 2024. Respondents were asked how satisfied they were with life on a 10-point scale and then calculated the averages.
The report is traditionally published on March 20, the International Day of Happiness.
