Holiday in Montenegro. Where the soul is bright and clear
Montenegro sounds like the name of a distant fabulous country. Everything here should be like children’s books: green forests, black mountains, blue rivers. In fact, the color scheme of Montenegro, of course, is more diverse, but it does not lose its fabulousness! In these places there is an amazing nature, which responds twice to the residents for taking care of itself.
According to statistics, Montenegrins live an average of 74.5 years and remain cheerful and optimistic until old age. A popular story about a woman who died at 103 years old, read all her life without glasses and liked to say: “To hell with dinner, if there is no wine to it.” And another resident of Montenegro at 62 gave birth to a healthy boy!
The best time to visit Montenegro is from May to October. During this period, the sea water warms up well, the hot temperature is maintained. At night, it is better to have a warm sweater. Montenegrins themselves are very responsive and honest people. If you ask the locals, they will patiently explain to you in every way possible. There's definitely something to eat at the bazarevas! It is not customary to steal here: cells in supermarkets without keys, and swimmers calmly leave expensive gadgets on the beach.
One of the landmarks of Montenegro is the Citadel in Budva. This fortress was built in 840 on a high rocky reef to protect against Turkish raids. Nowadays, the Citadel is not just an architectural monument. Every year it becomes a venue for the festival "Grad Theatre", which attracts actors from many countries.

Invariably attracts tourists national park - a huge freshwater Skadar lake. This majestic pond is very beautiful, rich in fish and populated by a huge number of birds. Day excursions to the lake are extremely popular. As a rule, those who want to relax from the city noise and be closer to nature come here.

Another famous landmark of Montenegro is the Ostrog Monastery. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims come here every year to touch the shrine. It is believed to be the third most visited pilgrimage site in the world, after the tomb of Christ and the holy mountain in Jerusalem. Ostrog is an active male monastery, carved into a sheer rock at an altitude of about 900 meters above sea level.

One of the oldest monasteries in Europe, St. Tryphon Cathedral is also located in Montenegro. It is notable for being 69 years older than Notre Dame.

In addition to large tourist sites, there are special small places where you can also visit! For example, in the capital Podgorica is the shortest street in Montenegro: its length is only 30 meters, and there is only one building. The narrowest street - it is called "Let me pass" - is in the city of Kotor, and two people can barely disperse on it.

According to a study conducted by the International Travel and Tourism Council, Montenegro is among the three fastest growing tourist destinations in the world. Don’t be afraid to learn something new! This small country, barely visible on the map, will surely win your heart!
