The Five Most Romantic Destinations for Valentine’s Day

Paris may be the most romantic city on the planet, but going there for All Lovers’ Day is very banal. We offer you five interesting destinations this year for a February holiday together.

Tbilisi

The Georgian capital is perfect for romantics living on a large scale. What could be more beautiful than the legendary Georgian hospitality? Unless a joint ascent to Mtatsminda mountain, from where a beautiful view of the city opens, a visit to sulfur baths and a date under the clock at the Rezo Gabriadze theater.

You can visit Mtskheta, the historical and spiritual heart of Georgia. And the evening is dedicated to the famous local wines - tasting them in a cozy restaurant with live music. Georgian singing is something special, and all Georgian songs are about love.

Red Polyana

The capital of the 2014 Winter Olympics is perfect for couples who prefer active rest and noisy companies. In the afternoon, you can go to the slopes and learn new tricks on snowboarding together. In the evening - go to a fun party or spend time together by candlelight in a fashionable resort restaurant.

Krasnaya Polyana is also good because it is easy to get to Big Sochi from here. The city is still low season, tourists are few, so you can walk together along the embankment, holding hands and not afraid to be trampled by crowds of tourists. Or without a queue to get to Potseluevsky Square, to the bench of lovers. They say that if you sit on it silently for 100 seconds, and then kiss - the most cherished desire will come true.

Barcelona

Winter Barcelona is warm and welcoming. During the day there is no less than 15 degrees of heat, so it is possible to enjoy leisurely walks along the sea. The most romantic places of the capital of Catalonia is the Magic Fountain on Mount Montjuic, where every evening a wonderful light show is arranged.

In love affairs Barcelona people know a lot and feel completely free. If you also look at life, visit the Museum of Erotics, where more than 800 exhibits from different eras from around the world are collected. And do not forget about the main attractions of the city: the Picasso Museum and the architectural creations of the genius Gaudí.

Prague

The Czech capital is considered one of the most romantic European cities. Here you can get lost in the maze of medieval streets or try to walk along all 18 bridges of the city. Or at least take a picture of the most famous of them – Karlov. On a night tour, you will be told the chilling legends that will only warm your feelings.

Of course, it is worth seeing with your own eyes the performance on the Town Hall Square, which is accompanied by the battle of the old city clock. For a romantic dinner, it is better to choose a small restaurant away from the center, where the pork knee is served, the famous Czech beer is poured and the prices are not broken.

riga

Riga used to be actively filmed, and the cinematic past itself creates a romantic mood. During your trip to the capital of Latvia, be sure to find the house of the Soviet Sherlock on Jauniel Street and the filming of Prisoner of If Castle. But the usual walk in the historical center of Riga is a great pleasure.

Since 1997, the ancient streets of Riga with their architectural diversity have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In a couple of days you can count all the buildings in the Art Nouveau style, and at the same time visit the thematic museum, listen to the concert of organ music in the Dome Cathedral and admire the city from the observation deck of the Church of Peter and Paul. Do not forget to taste traditional local dishes and the famous Riga balm – without them, the impression of the trip will be incomplete.
