Vietnam: Everything you need to know
From October on the territory of Russia comes a long winter, which lasts about six months, in some areas even more. On the thermometer is already below zero, outside the window something like freezing rain or frost, in the closet again seems forgotten warm coats and knitted scarves. There are only pleasant memories and gigabytes of photos in the smartphone.
Fortunately, this cold season is not everywhere. We do not offer to spend this autumn outside the borders of your homeland. But if you still want to warm up - welcome to Vietnam, one of the most popular countries for tourists in winter.
Vietnam is a state in Southeast Asia, located on the Indochina Peninsula, from the east and south is washed by the South China Sea. The resort season in this country lasts a whole year, if in summer, despite the rainy season, you can safely travel around the country, then in winter it is better to choose the beaches of the southern coast.
How do I get there?
It's a long flight to Vietnam. And this is probably one of the main disadvantages of a possible trip. Yekaterinburg and this country share a long 6000 kilometers or about 9 hours of flight, if without transfers, which happens, in general, not rarely. But the time difference is only two hours. The airport and the city of arrival depend on your territorial preferences: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and others. Further, everything will depend on the chosen tour, if you have a full package, then they will meet and take you to the hotel, if you booked a trip yourself and rest “savage” you will have to navigate individually and get yourself.
How to choose a resort?
As we said, in the autumn-winter period it is better to choose a holiday in the southern part of the country. For example, the resorts of Fanthieta, Nha Trang, Vung Tau. These are modern popular cities of Vietnam, equipped for tourists and recreation. But again, it all depends on what type of holiday you chose, if a person does not like a hotel and beach holiday, then it is naturally not worth getting attached to the place. Vietnam is a beautiful country with a rich history, there is definitely something to see in addition to the ocean and exotic vegetation. Therefore, when choosing a location, you are guided only by your wishes. Perhaps you prefer the capital or small provincial areas to a standard holiday resort.
See what?
Ho Chi Minh City is a city that is really worth visiting in Vietnam if you want to see how people live in this country in general, feel this atmosphere, taste local food, get acquainted with architecture and traditions.
Halong Bay is one of the most recognizable symbols of Vietnam. A postcard with the image of this place brings almost every tourist. UNESCO World Heritage Site. It includes more than 3000 islands, as well as small rocks, cliffs and caves.
Long Shon Pagoda (White Buddha) is considered the most beautiful pagoda in the district, and since 1936 it has also been the main Buddhist temple of the province. The pagoda is located half an hour walk from the Nha Trang tourist center.
Notre Dame Cathedral is a piece of Europe at the equator and the main Catholic church of Ho Chi Minh City, built in 1880.
Thermal springs Thap Ba - some alternative to the sea - hot springs and useful mud baths.
The cable car to Hong Che Island is considered the longest road of this type over the sea, located in the southern part of the city of Nha Trang. Nine columns in the form of the French Eiffel Towers support the funicular, which takes tourists to the island of Hon Che, where the famous amusement park Winperl is located with attractions, a water park, a huge aquarium.
White and red dunes - in the vicinity of Fantiet and Muine quite a lot of sandy multicolored dunes. The most grandiose are the white and red dunes – huge formations of sand, resembling hot Africa rather than the east.
This is just a small part of what you can see in Vietnam. You should always focus on the territorial factor and select excursions as close as possible to the place of your stay, especially if you do not like such leisure. But deny yourself active rest here is not worth it, as you can diversify your vacation and get a lot of impressions.
The dangers of Vietnam
We could not bypass this point of our trip, because rest in such countries can still be called exotic. And in order to protect yourself and your loved ones as much as possible, you need to know in advance about the possible dangers in this country.
Roads and transport
In Asia, the problem of road traffic is very acute. If the native perceives everything as normal, then the tourist needs to be as careful as possible here, whether you are a pedestrian or even more so a driver who rented a bike or a car.
Crime rate
It is not that danger awaits here every minute, but the tourist should be very careful and attentive in their actions. Petty thefts are not uncommon here, so don’t bring a lot of cash, originals of important documents, maps and expensive jewelry. Of course, the probability that you will be stolen is small, but it happens. Another unpleasant nuance - the Vietnamese are very fond of, let's say, "divorce" a tourist for money: in a cafe to ask for a huge tip, in a hotel will be forced to pay for not rendered services, a taxi driver will overstate the amount of fare. Of course, all this is not unique to Vietnam, but here such fraud is very developed.
Food
Asian cuisine is quite specific. A person who has been accustomed to a certain diet for many years, even tropical fruits will be curious, and what to say about spicy spicy food, which you will definitely be offered in Vietnam. Be careful with food. First, look at the conditions in which it is prepared, for the abundance of street cafes is sometimes confusing. Secondly, do not eat what you are not sure about (coconut larvae are, of course, a delicacy, but exploits can end in a hospital bed). And, thirdly, give preference to simple familiar food, prepared under normal conditions from understandable products. In order not to injure your body and not get to the doctors.
Fauna
The animal world of Vietnam is beautiful for its diversity and outlandish representatives. But this does not mean that it is worth petting every monkey you like and taking pictures with snakes. Most animals in the country are really dangerous to life and health. So be as careful as possible, even just walking around the local parks and forests.

We can talk about Vietnam for a long time. A country with a complex history of formation, interesting and incomprehensible to us laws and traditions, inviting ocean and exotic fruits. If you are planning a holiday in the winter - be sure to consider Vietnam, chances are that you will really like it and want to come back here again.
