All of Prague in 3 days

Czech Republic - a favorite place of tourists from all over the world. The country is famous for its rich history and culture, as well as stunning nature and local cuisine.

There are tourist routes for every taste, and it is better to decide immediately what you want to visit. After all, from the variety of eyes run, and time for everything is categorically not enough.

The capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, is often called an open-air museum. We will tell you more about this city. There are indeed historical and cultural values everywhere, monuments and sights at every step, and you take steps on centuries-old pavers.

To get around all the interesting places in Prague, you will need at least 3-4 days, and if you want to visit museums / exhibitions, then the time will stretch indefinitely. Therefore, we have prepared for you a list of places to visit if you come to Prague for 3 days.

In this wonderful city it is worth walking while you go from one main attraction to another along the way you will find more than one, albeit a small, but valuable impression. Fairy Czech houses with frescoes on the walls, shops with puppets and souvenirs, taverns with national cuisine, many seemingly insignificant details that will eventually make your impression of the city.

We offer you a walk along the most famous tourist route, which is called the “Royal Way” (this is the way the Czech kings marched to the coronation). It passes through the historical center of Prague and “collects” almost all the main attractions along the way. Today it is marked by a special sign – the Silver Line (Silver Arrows).

This path originates from the Gothic Powder Tower, by the way, you can climb to its top and explore the nearby path from a height, tickets are sold at the entrance (a profitable purchase will be a single ticket for several locations, for example, to the Old Town Bridge Tower).

Walk along Celetnaya Street, it is one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. The buildings surrounding it are often referred to as a “textbook” of architectural styles. Inside there are various shops: with puppets, sweets, souvenirs. Nothing is required of you, all you have to do is go and enjoy the beauty around you.

It will be followed by the Old Town Square - there are several attractions at once, which will take time to explore. These are the Tyn temple, the Old Town Hall, the Church of St. Nicholas and the monument to Jan Hus.

You can admire the external beauty of these attractions, or you can go inside. There are many cafes and food shops on the square, as well as wandering artists, musicians and mimes. Noisy, bright and very atmospheric place.

The next stop will be Charles Bridge. This is not only a way to move from one bank of the Vltava to the other – one of the most valuable sights of the Czech Republic.

At any time of the day there are many tourists. Of course, this place carries the most valuable historical and cultural heritage. On the bridge, you can often meet artists who will gladly paint your portrait or sell a finished painting with the surroundings of Prague.

By the way, few people know that the Old Town Bridge Tower stands at the foot of Charles Bridge. Inside it is a small museum, and at the top of the observation deck. This is one of the most beautiful 360-degree views of Prague – take the time to climb the old steps inside the tower.
After passing the Charles Bridge, you will find yourself on the other side of Prague. Do not forget to bring a couple of buns or baguettes, because on the other bank of the Vltava there are many swans and ducks. All of them are almost tame and love tourists who feed them.

Ahead of us is a trip up the mountain on Mostetskaya Street to Malostranska Square – there is a Plague Pillar, many tourists like to take pictures with it. Then you will see many attractions, but to describe each of them will not be enough time, just know – everything that will surround you along the way, is worth your attention. Next, we climb up Nerudova Street, there we will meet Loretan Square, from which very little to Hradchanskaya Square.

So we got to Prague Castle, here the Royal Road ends, but our path continues. Further, before our eyes will appear a real legend – the Cathedral of St. Vitus, even if you do not understand anything in architecture, art and religion – the Cathedral will not leave you indifferent, it truly shakes with its grandeur and beauty. To see it not only outside, but also inside you need to buy tickets.

At the ticket office you will be offered three types of tickets, we advise you to buy tickets for a visit: the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George, Zlat Streets and the towers of Daliborka - only 5 seats, but these are the most important sights of Prague Castle. They will not leave you indifferent and will remember you for a long time.

Next you will go to the observation deck, which offers stunning views of Prague, you may have to stand in line to take memorable shots, but it is worth it.

We visited the historic center. Yes, we have studied it superficially, we have not visited all valuable places, but it will take us much longer to study more deeply and visit all museums.

Therefore, it is most reasonable to give the first two days on foot, in addition to the proposed route, walk through the numerous parks of the city, along Wenceslas Square, as well as take a tram ride (this is the main transport in Prague).

The third day we would give to visit the Prague Zoo - it is one of the largest in Europe, with an area of about 60 hectares, it consists of two levels that are connected by a funicular (it does not work in winter). This is a stunning place, according to Forbes, the zoo ranks seventh in the list of the best zoos in the world. Visiting it will delight not only children, but also adults. The living conditions of animals are as close as possible to their habitat, and their diversity is amazing. This place is a must visit!

Three days is enough to fall in love with Prague, and instill in your heart an irresistible desire to return. It is a fabulous city that fascinates with its medieval atmosphere.
