Faster, higher, stronger
Faster, higher and stronger is the motto of people who love active tourism. The whole “chip” of such a holiday is that you are constantly in sports and physical activity.
Simply put, from any power load and muscle work, you get pleasure, feeling that you have done and gained much more than lying on the beach and sipping a cocktail through a straw.

One of these types of tourism is rafting, which over the past 10 years has gained wild popularity. The fact is that earlier it was relevant mainly for sports-prepared people and their training.
And now alloys are also an occasion to relax anyone who wants to compete with athletes and just swim a certain route of the river, cleaning its banks and small rivers flowing into it.
Needless to say, in some regions of Russia, rafting is almost the main tourism. It is also interesting because you can raft not only along rivers, but along rivers with access to the sea, waterfalls, etc. All the charms and difficulties of the water element can be passed on rafts, kayaks, kayaks, catamarans, rafts, rubber boats, bagels.

Perm region can be considered one of the leaders of this tourism. Although the region cannot boast of rivers with a high category of complexity, and there are six of them, but the choice of rivers with the most picturesque views can be found here.
In the region there are more than 30 thousand rivers and rivers. The most popular Chusovaya, Koiva, Vishera, Usva, Sylva, they are suitable for beginners and athletes. Everything will depend on the chosen river, month, route, water obstacles, number of days and other parameters - you can organize a tour with a higher category.

My first rafting took place exactly ten years ago, in 2008 by Koiva. Then the trip was organized by our ski coach S.L. Tarasov He gathered a group of 10 children who went to his training and two young instructors: Julia and Sergey.
From the very first day the instructors took up our training. They had a difficult task: to tell us all the rules of safety, to teach us how to collect a catamaran, to row with oars correctly on the alloy and to farm while traveling.

Within a week we sailed along Koiva with access to Chusovaya about 60 km. The most memorable moments were the ascent of the stones: Shooting, Hooked, Red, the waterfall in the village of Kusier-Alexandrovskiy and the cleansing of small streams on day parking lots from dirt and debris.
The second and third trip to rafting also took place with the guys from training. Yulia and Seryozha were again our escorts. This time, we only rafted on the Chusovaya. The entire route was more than 100 km and ran through two regions: the Perm Territory and the Sverdlovsk Region.
You never know what to expect from the weather, which is why you have to be prepared.
Our journey was very difficult, because almost all 10 days we were on the road, it was heavy rain. On the second day of the trip we had all our bread wet. But fortunately, the first half of the next day was sunny and we were able to dry the bread by decomposing it on a pre-prepared film. Water per day added more and more, our things wet more and more. And only temporary variable cloudiness and evening gatherings at the campfire allowed us to dry all things.

Also, the trip was remembered for a new ascent to the Treasure Stone and a hike to the Marvel Cave, where you could crawl between large stones and find yourself inside a large grotto. But if you still decide to visit the cave, you must be prepared for the fact that you will not return from there clean, so you will have to prepare clothes in advance, which are not sorry.
Although the third alloy was again Koiva, but it is still in my memories, because the instructor Sergey gave us a real test. Having tied ropes on one of the stone plumbs, he offered to test himself. And as much as I was scared, as much as I was afraid of heights, I did.
With Yulia and Sergey, we could do anything! Swimming against the tide, learning how to harvest firewood, going down steep cliffs with climbing gear, we even made a film about our journey, where we were one tribe and each of us had our own nickname.

But my story of traveling along the rivers of the Perm Territory does not end there. After all, in 2014, Koiva rafting took place, but for the purpose of acquiring the skills of a tourism specialist, since I studied at the Department of Tourism. Many trials gave me much easier than my classmates, since I was not the first time rafting, and Koiva accepted me as a native.
The entire route from Kussier-Alexandrovsky to Chusovoy lasted three and a half days. We split into 4 catamarans, 2 kayaks and set out on the road. The fusion was very fun, as the company got what it needed. During the trip, we drove each other on catamarans, played various games, made famous heroes. And the most interesting is the live communication, which is so little these days.

Many of the guys who were rafting for the first time learned to collect catamarans, cook for everyone hiking breakfasts, lunches and dinners, provide everything necessary for camp life. In the evenings, gathering by the campfire, we sat down to drink hot tea on herbs and sing songs to the guitar.

In general, there are many advantages to active rest: you are constantly on the move, which means your muscles and joints too, your physical condition improves, you learn or learn something new. How not to spin, but not one trip is not complete without new acquaintances, it is an opportunity to get out of the comfort zone, test yourself in an unusual environment and much more.

Russian regions of Bashkiria, Sverdlovsk region, Altai Krai, Karelia are also leaders of tourist rafting, each region offers its own unique tours. Since I am no longer a beginner, I plan to visit the Altai Territory and Karelia. Alloys of these areas are distinguished by elevated categories and unforgettable landscapes.
