What to do if you lose your travel documents?
Today, travel agents not only issue documents on paper, but also send them to e-mail. Now you can easily buy a tour without visiting the office. In addition, you can call the travel agent at any time, and he will also easily duplicate the documents for the tour.
Flight ticket. More and more people are buying an e-ticket. Having bought such a ticket, you can easily get on a plane and go on a long-awaited trip. Besides, it's impossible to lose. I saved the e-ticket for reliability on the smartphone. I’ll tell you later why you might need a printed ticket or receipt.
If you bought a ticket on paper, then to restore it you need to go to the office of your carrier at the airport, show your passport, clarify the date of departure and pay a fine. In addition, you will be warned about financial liability for the fact that a third party can take advantage of the lost flight ticket.

Voucher. The voucher will only be needed when checking into the hotel. But even without this document, you can easily be taken to the apartment, because your data is already in the database of the tour operator. Therefore, it is enough to present a passport, and the ordered and paid service will be provided. Little Lifehack. Make an extra copy of the voucher and carry it with you on a trip instead of a passport - it has all the necessary information in case you suddenly get stopped by a police officer for some reason.
Transfer. Transfer is necessary for meeting and escort to your place of residence. Having applied with a passport to a meeting employee at the airport, you will be escorted and put in a waiting transport, because all the data is already in the database, and you are waiting and met.
Health insurance. Remember that you are going to rest, so tune in to positive emotions, the sea of drive and vivid unforgettable impressions. Health insurance may not be useful. But if you still got sick or injured, and the policy is gone, it's okay. It is enough to know the policy number or phone number of the service company. She should contact the insurance company and confirm your insurance. The presence of the policy can also be checked when entering the Schengen area. Therefore, it is advisable to photograph it before traveling to a smartphone or make a photocopy of the document.
Passport. If you lose your internal passport, you need to go to the police. You will receive a temporary identity card for 10 days if you applied for your residence and 60 days if you applied for your stay. With this certificate you will be able to travel around Russia.
Passport. If the loss occurred before departure, then you need to contact the police, then the Federal Migration Service or the MFC - reissue of the passport will take from one to four months. You will not be able to leave without it, so the trip will have to be postponed.
If lost abroad, contact the local police. If necessary, enlist the support of an interpreter. Write a statement. You will be given a certified copy of the application and certificate. If the certificate is not issued, ask for one.
Next, you need to contact the Russian Embassy, Consulate or Russian notary to ensure that you are you. Prepare a statement about the loss of a passport, a certificate issued by the police, any identity document, two photos 3x4 and about 60 euros - consular fee.
If you do not have an internal passport, driver’s license or other document that can verify your identity, you need to present several people (a couple of relatives, friends) who will confirm it.
After that, a temporary certificate will be prepared for you. You can go home with him. The return will be given 15 days. It will be impossible to enter the territory of other countries, so the best option, if not the only one, is a direct flight to the homeland. Be sure to save all documents and certificates and within 3 days after arrival, contact them at the FMS office, where you previously received a passport.
But don't despair. It is quite possible that you will find your documents simply by visiting those places where you have strolled before, contacting the found office or simply looking on the Internet. In most countries, the find office functions better than in Russia. People do not seek to appropriate other people's things, but on the contrary, post their photos on the network with an appeal to find the owner.
So, before the trip, take photos of all your documents: hotel voucher, airport transfer, medical insurance, passport, passport, air ticket and visa. Or make copies. Take with you a certified copy of your internal passport. Keep documents and copies separate from each other. For the loss of the document there is a fine, so protect your rest from unnecessary worries. Be sure to keep a tourist memo (it will be issued by a travel agent) - it contains all useful information: from emergency phones to the addresses of embassies and consulates.
Earlier I promised to tell you why you can use a printed ticket or receipt. If suddenly your flight is delayed for some reason and as a result, instead of three o'clock in the morning, you will agree, this is another day and date. In this case, you need to get a note about this fact from the airport employee. Later, you can write a claim to your tour operator about the shift of the departure date. The tour operator will reimburse you for your lost vacation day.

Of course, the situation I described is extremely rare. But if this happens to you, do not despair. Everything can be solved. If in doubt, call your travel agent. He'll always come to the rescue. Advise and assist in resolving the issue. Send all necessary documents and copies. He'll support you in word and deed.
