Attractions of the Urals: Falcon stone
Falcon stone is a complex of rocks in the vicinity of the village of Severka, near Yekaterinburg, a geomorphological and archaeological monument of nature.
From the top of the rocks opens a view of the nearest mountains: Wheat, Bear, Spruce, Navel and others. One of the stones resembles a falcon that is preparing to take off - hence the name of the rocks.
Granodiorite is a magmatic rock from which mountains are made, it is subject to severe weathering. It is this property (according to some scientists) that caused their rounded shape.
On the way to the Sokolinsky stone will meet the spring "Seversky", there you can collect water, then we go past the Solar glade. There are practically no markings on the road, some trees have amateur signs made of fabric.
The road to the rocks is very picturesque: the path winds past firs and pine trees, as well as age-old larchs that cannot be covered with hands. Below, along the road, the Severka River flows, it is usually calm and quiet, but in spring turns into a noisy and bubbling stream.
