New Year's Eve in Sochi
The New Year is traditionally associated with snowfall, snowdrifts, snowmen, spruce and tangerines, but in Sochi such stereotypes will have to be abandoned. Sochi Can combine cold with past heat.

In all districts of Sochi, as well as throughout Russia at the height of the New Year and during the subsequent winter holidays, New Year events are held.
For example, in the amusement park, Sochi Park. On the New Year, the organizers of this place arrange a Christmas tree, the parish of Santa Claus with congratulations, delicious gifts, dances with songs, games and photos to remember.
On the Walk of Fire you can take part in the New Year's parade, arrange discos, shows with bubbles. On the night of the first January, lotteries and competitions are held, you can make wishes under the chimes and admire the festive fireworks.
Some tourists and residents go to the resorts of the Red glade: Rosa Khutor and Gorki-city. Here everyone shows their favorite New Year Soviet cinema, performs famous musical works, quests, a procession of Santa Claus and his assistants, and with the arrival of the New Year everyone meets him with a dazzling salute and a pyrotechnic show. In the forests of Krasnaya Polyana you can find deer, tours, roe deer, boars, chamois, bears, wolves of bison and other wild animals, some are listed in the Red Book.
Alpine skiing is popular on Red Polyana. The ski season opens in November. In the area of Krasnaya Polyana, you can find many other attractions that are not related to skiing, but will be interesting at any time of the year: the Greek Church of St. Harlampius, the “Hunting House” of the king, the Local History Museum, the Museum of Nature at the local forestry.
After the New Year, there is a great opportunity to walk in the picturesque Sochi parks or year-round summer greenhouses.
One of the symbols of this southern city is the Arboretum, which has existed for the third century. To the Arboretum leads almost a kilometer cable car, running at an altitude of 172 meters above sea level.
On the territory of the park live unusual inhabitants: moray eels, piranhas, stingrays, various species of parrots, muskrats, turtles, swans and pelicans, ostriches. Flora: Millennial Redwood tree, oak, bamboo and eucalyptus groves, candy, iron and soap trees. Attracts the attention of the arboretum and its architecture: a Japanese garden, a gate in the form of a rotunda, a Moorish gazebo and a gazebo of love, a villa "Hope" (where preserved costumes of the XIX century, portraits and letters of famous ballerinas are collected). In winter, this place turns into a real fairy tale from childhood.
The fauna and flora of the Arboretum is not the only “green” place in Sochi. Riviera Park contains 240 species of plants, a sports town, the Fountain of Love, the bench of Reconciliation, the Field of Friendship, on which magnolias planted by famous politicians and cosmonauts grow.
Nearby there is a museum of aliens, a rainbow “House upside down”, a unique aquarium where fish from all corners of the planet live. On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s holidays, theatrical performances are held in the park and Rose Hall. In the Winter Theatre there are performances for children and their parents.
In Sochi, there is a well-known five-kilometer terrenkur, “health path”, which is far from straight: rises, and then descends, somewhere you need to pass and sports walking.
Terrenkur offers a view of the city, the Seaport with a fabulous sunset or no less impressive dawn.
Despite the fact that Sochi is famous for its constant warmth and palm trees, on the New Year, as well as in other parts of Russia, it is customary to decorate a Christmas tree. There is a Christmas tree in every hotel, and a city tree is organized on the square near the Southern Mall, near the Sochi Marine Station.
Celebrations are also held here. On the seaside embankment, the New Year’s fireworks are clearly visible, a concert is held with the participation of local pop stars, until the morning everyone who wants to come has fun at the disco.
Sochi, as a city with a subtropical climate, with clean sea air, contributes to the improvement of human health. In winter, you can also take care of your health and go on health treatments. Those who come with a wellness purpose stay in sanatoriums, for comfortable New Year’s meetings there is everything: New Year’s dinners, SPA treatments and gifts.
