Why can’t I stay in a hotel in the morning?

Waiting in the baggage lobby is exhausting after a long flight, and you wonder what you can do. Let's get this straight.

 

There are approximate time frames for departure and settlement. Guests should leave the room before 10 am, and come after 14:00. The clock can change depending on the hotel. You can find out the exact time of arrival and departure at your hotel and hostel when booking a room or at the Reception counter.

 

In Russia there is a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 9, 2015. No. 1085 "On Approval of the Rules for the Provision of Hotel Services in the Russian Federation". According to this document, the time of check-in to hotels, hotels, hostels: 14:00 or 15:00, and the time of departure is 12:00.

 

 

So why can't we move in? During the tourist season, rooms in hotels and hostels are full. After the guests leave the room, the service staff must remove it for the next guest. And since there are many rooms for cleaning, most often they have time to prepare only for the time of settlement. If you arrive early, the wait will take longer.

 

There is also an alternative. If you arrive very early or do not want to wait, you can buy a room of another category, above or below the room you ordered. But be prepared for the fact that most often you will have to pay an additional amount equal to at least half a day of living in the room.

 

But if the season is not touristy, then rooms of the category reserved by you will be more likely to be free, and you will be able to check in earlier than the billing time. Hotel staff always try to help guests.

 

Another option is to indicate early check-in when booking. Many travel agencies and hotels offer this service when buying a tour or paying for a booking, and you do not have to wait for the checkout hour. This option is convenient for families with children.

 

If none of the previous options suit you, you can also ask on Reception where the storage rooms are, leave your luggage and go to the beach or walk around the city. If you have food included in your reservation, you can easily go to breakfast, even if you have not checked in yet.
