On the eve of the winter season 2010-2011, October 23-24, 2010 in St. Petersburg will be held the exhibition "XIV Ski Salon". Organizer: Alpine Club. For the 14th time, the exhibition will gather at one of the central venues of the city (in the restaurant "Moscow", in the hotel "Moscow") professionals and lovers of alpine skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports and outdoor activities.

The exhibition is attended not only by sports shops, ski centers and recreation centers of the Leningrad region, the largest tour operators of St. Petersburg and Moscow, but also by representatives of the regions of Russia, Finland, Sweden, France, Italy and other European countries. On the stage in the framework of the program "Kaleidoscope of Countries" will be presented by famous ski resorts, including "MERIBEL", "COURCHEVEL", "LESMENUIRES", "VALD' ISERE", "LESARAVIS" (le Grand Bornand and la Clusaz), (France)
“ORE”, (Sweden) and others. Representatives of skiing regions within the framework of the Kaleidoscope of Countries program will share with visitors the latest news, tell about their features, infrastructure and history of ski resorts. Also, on October 23, a professional meeting of tour operators and representatives of the regions with representatives of travel companies will be held within the framework of the Breakfast in the Alpine Club program. As a preparation for the new winter season, on the first day of the exhibition, the competition “The Most Active Tourist” will be held. Five contestants in different competitions will compete not only for the honorary 1st place, but also for valuable prizes from participants and partners of the exhibition.

According to tradition, the main event of the second day will be the award ceremony of the Golden Nika and Golden Skier awards, annually awarded to the leading companies of St. Petersburg for their active contribution to the development of ski tourism and active support and promotion of the active recreation industry in St. Petersburg and the North-West region.

Within the framework of the exhibition "XIV International Ski Salon", October 25-26, 2010 the tour for managers and specialists of the ski industry "Exchange of experience" in the ski centers of the Leningrad region is held.
