Yaroslavl is the fabulous capital of Russia.
Alexey Kozlovsky, author of the project “Fairytale map of Russia”, one of the speakers of the forum “Visit Russia”, is sure that Yaroslavl will receive this brand by right. “The leadership of the Yaroslavl region does a lot to create and popularize tourist routes,” says Alexey Kozlovsky. - There received the largest number of fairy-tale characters: Baba Yaga, Emel, Chicken Ryaba, Mouse-Norushka, Bear, Water, epic hero Alesha Popovich and others. Yaroslavl residents not only developed legends with the justification of the belonging of fairy-tale heroes to the cities and villages of their region, but also opened thematic museums, established appropriate holidays.
In order to understand the scale of the events, let’s give an example of theatrical festivals “By pike order”, which are held every February in Rostov the Great on Lake Nero. As expected, the holiday begins with a bell ringing, and the bells in the Rostov Kremlin are noble, known throughout Russia. It was there that the famous film “Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession” was filmed. Then from the Cathedral Square to the city park, a procession is sent at the head, of course, with Emel himself, going, as he should, to the ... furnace. Spectators and participants are waiting for the performance of “Dance Fish”, semi-sport competitions “Pike leprosy”, “Funs of Grandpa Shchukar” and other entertainment, including mass treating people with a real pike ear in the field soldiers’ kitchens.
The holiday "By the Pike Order" has been held in Rostov since 1997 not by chance. The main attraction of the Rostov Lake Nero is the pike fish. The local, Rostov pike (which, by the way, tends to live only in clean water) is something extraordinary. It is not only in its rare taste, but also in some mystical attitude towards it from the Rostovites.
Pike with its unusual properties surprised many people. The most important pike quality was considered its extraordinary fertility. In ancient times on Nero there was a custom: the first pike caught in the spring, people judged the future harvest. The ridge bones of the pike were hung from the gate - this tool was supposed to protect against general diseases. Pike teeth were also collected and carried with them, as it was believed that this saves from a snake bite.
The standard of successful branding, according to Alexei Kozlovsky, is the city of Myshkin. “Yes, other cities will not offend me,” the author of the fairy-tale map of Russia asks for forgiveness, “Myshkin is a mecca for tourists who went on a trip to Russia.”
Alexey believes that “our tourism is not Turkey-hollinclusive with chatter by the pools, but a rich history, cognitive narrative.” Russia, no matter how loudly it will be said, has every chance to become the capital of world intellectual tourism. We have a very interesting country.”
And in order for foreign tourists to come to Russia, you need to develop infrastructure, you will not be fed with fairy tales, Alexei is convinced.
In his speech at the International Tourism Forum, Alexey Kozlovsky will focus on three main points: he will talk about the brands of European cities in comparison with the Russian experience, present the “Fairytale Map of Russia”, give recipes on the technology of attracting tourists.
The map will include not only the places of birth and residence of fairy-tale characters, but also the addresses of museums associated with the heroes of Russian folklore, memorable places. It will also be accompanied by a calendar of fabulous holidays.
Giving the palm of primacy in the promotion of fabulous brands to the Yaroslavl people, Alexey Kozlovsky recognizes the active work of the Tverians (promoting the legend of belonging to their places Snake Gorynych), Kirov, whose governor Nikita Belykh helped defend the right of Kikimora to reside in the Kirov region (soon in Kirov will be celebrated the wedding of Kikimora with Domov), Ulyanovites – Governor Sergey Morozov personally oversees the project “Ulyanovsk – the birthplace of the Simbirsk kolobok”.
It should be noted that the decision on the registration of a hero in the project “Fairytale map of Russia” Alexey Kozlovsky takes together with the expert council, which includes journalists, philologists, historians, representatives of state authorities and the Moscow Association of Compatriots of Russia.
