Housing for tourists

In order for your vacation to really succeed, you need to think everything through in advance before vacation. Particular attention should be paid to housing. Fortunately, today all tourist centers offer a wide range of accommodation, so every vacationer will be able to choose the one that will meet his capabilities and requirements.

Factors in housing choice

Most tourists when choosing housing, first of all, pay attention to its cost. This, of course, is an important factor, but not only it is the basis for choosing a place of residence. As a rule, a modern tourist chooses a particular type of housing not only taking into account the pricing policy, but also taking into account the range of services that are provided there. In addition, the location of housing is of great importance. For example, classic tourist hotels are usually located in green areas near architectural monuments, at the intersections of important tourist routes. But resort hotels are located in the resort area, where the possibility of preventive treatment is provided. If you want to combine rest and work, then you will need business hotels that are located in the central parts of the city.

Housing types

It should be noted that in different countries there is a different classification of housing for tourists. So, in France, there are three groups: hotels, houses or camps, small cottages or rural houses. In Switzerland, the most popular apartments, camps, rest homes and youth hostels. In Moscow, as well as throughout Russia, the following classification is most often used: premium, business-class hotels, middle-class hotels and cheap Moscow hotels. In the UK, tourist accommodation is divided into two categories: motels, hotels, guest houses, which are classified according to a special system of “crowns” from one to five. The number of “crowns” depends on the quality and range of services; cottages, holiday homes, apartment-type rooms, bungalows, which are classified according to the system of “keys” from one to five. Most Austrian hotels are divided by the duration of the tourist season: operating throughout the year, single-season and bi-season.

Another type of housing that is actively offered to tourists today is secondary residences, which are wholly owned by tourists, but are not their permanent residence. They also include secondary residences with fairly good general amenities - sports and recreational and entertainment complexes or apartments in blocks.
