Flower Festival in Azerbaijan

Flower festival!Since 2004, every year, on May 10, the Baku City Executive Authority has held a number of events dedicated to the anniversary of the birthday of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

The main part of these events is the “Flower Festival”, which is held on the seaside boulevard, the main resting place of Baku residents and guests of the city, and which attracts hundreds of thousands of people from all over Azerbaijan, but most of all brings joy to children.

Activities are held throughout the day.

After laying flowers at the monument of Heydar Aliyev, the official opening of the traditional “Flower Festival” begins in the National Park. All 11 regions of the capital will take part in this colorful event.

Throughout the park - from the parachute tower to Azneft Square - there are expositions of flowers, plants, rare birds, as well as folk art, drawings on the asphalt and much more. Various children's musical groups perform with concerts.

In the evening, a concert is held in the open air, with the participation of Azerbaijani and foreign pop stars.

Well, at the end of the festive events there is a grand salute and fireworks, which always gathers about a million city residents!
