Pomegranate Festival in Azerbaijan

Representatives of state bodies, members of the Milli Majlis, representatives of the diplomatic corps, guests from neighboring districts arrived in the district to participate in festive events.
In the Aliyev Park, they laid a wreath on the monument to the national leader. Speaking in front of the monument, Head of Executive Power M. Agayev, members of MM S. Hajiyev and S. Hajiyev congratulated the population of the district on the Pomegranate Festival, they spoke about the economic, social, cultural and moral significance of holding such events.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan N. Paskevich touched upon the recently developing relations between the two countries.
The guests visited the Aliyev Museum and the health complex, the construction of which will be completed in the coming days.
Works on the improvement of the city, parks, gardens, streets are festively decorated. The celebration was attended by about 500 guests, including representatives of the diplomatic corps.
The participants of the event visited the pomegranate fair located in the city center, tried the wonderful pomegranate juice produced in Geychay-Cognac LLC, at the Goychay Food Combine.
G. Aliyev Park hosted performances of athletes, folklore groups, song and dance ensemble. Various competitions with prizes were also held.
Participants received information about the role of pomegranate in the treatment of various diseases.
In the evening, a festive concert was held on the main square of the district, with the participation of masters of arts of the republic, which ended with a fireworksman.
