Engineer's Day

Last Sunday in SeptemberEvery year on the last Sunday of September, Machine Builder Day is traditionally celebrated in Belarus. The date of the professional holiday of machine-building workers is fixed by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 1, 1980 No. 3018-X "On festive and memorable days".

This is a professional holiday of workers and engineers of the engineering industry. Since mechanical engineering includes a complex of industries that produce tools for the national economy, vehicles, as well as consumer goods and defense products, this holiday is celebrated widely and solemnly, festive events are held: concerts, honoring labor veterans.
