In Belarus, youth policy has long been one of the priorities of the state. Over the past few years, many youth programs and projects have been implemented. The role of youth media has grown significantly. Dozens of children's and youth television programs have been created. Along with this, active work is underway to improve the system of preschool, basic and secondary education, higher education is being reformed, and the legal framework is being improved.
The state does not forget about young specialists - almost every graduate is guaranteed a first job. By the way, largely due to this, today the percentage of unemployed youth has significantly decreased.
One of the key mechanisms for implementing the country’s youth policy was the activities of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. Rallying together more than 300,000 young people, the country’s largest public association has become a kind of center of the country’s youth movement.
Along with spiritual, moral and patriotic education, the Youth Union provides practical assistance to boys and girls. Within the framework of the program of social protection of youth, BRSM participates in the creation of new jobs for students and graduates of universities.
Equally important is the contribution to the implementation of youth policy and law enforcement agencies. The Armed Forces of Belarus traditionally play a huge role in the patriotic, spiritual and moral education of the younger generation.
Together with the Ministry of Education, the military department oversees more than a hundred military-patriotic classes. In the military-industrial complex, boys and girls are preparing for admission to the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus, to military faculties. Every year, dozens of military-patriotic camps are created on the basis of military units and formations, in which hundreds of schoolchildren undergo rehabilitation and hardening. Experienced officers, warrant officers, sergeants and soldiers work with the guys, educating them with the qualities of real men - courage, courage, willpower.
Support military-patriotic camps and the prevention of child crime. Here often rest difficult teenagers, as well as children from large families, orphans. We are also creating various youth military-patriotic clubs headed by enthusiasts, in which young men are spiritually and physically improving, preparing for army service.
The Ministry of Defense implements many of its youth projects jointly with the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, about 200 primary organizations of which operate in the Armed Forces. The Youth Union received the right to give recommendations to its activists for service in elite units and formations of the Armed Forces. Moreover, guys who have served military service can count on the support of the youth union in employment and admission to various universities of the country.
Today in our country there are all conditions for each of us to be able to fully realize himself in life: to achieve creative heights, to make a career. So take the baton, carry it boldly, and the fathers will say: You, Youth, are right! You do your endless work!
