Oil and gas were and are key raw materials, their production is a strategically important sector of the Russian economy. Most of the fields are located in areas with severe climatic conditions, and work in the oil and gas complex imposes increased demands on people. Therefore, the hard work of gas and oil workers is deservedly respected.
According to statistics, more than 70% of oil products produced in Belarus are exported to 90 countries. The industry provides 35% of the total industrial production of the republic and 35% of exports. More than 25% of revenues to the budget are deductions from oil refining enterprises. The gas and fuel industry employs 32,000 people. The enterprises of the industry carry out work on the development and operation of distribution gas pipelines, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted supply of energy, industrial, municipal and household consumers and the population with natural and liquefied hydrocarbon gases.
