Radio DayThe older generation of radio workers love their professional holiday and consider Radio Day, which is celebrated on May 7, “native”.

May 7 has entered the history of science and technology as the birthday of radio. It was on this day in 1895, at a meeting of the Russian Physical and Chemical Society, the Russian scientist Alexander Popov made a report and demonstration of the world’s first radio receiver he created.

In 1945, on May 7, the 50th anniversary of the invention of radio was widely celebrated in the USSR. In this regard, the government decided to consider this date as an annual Radio Day. Later this day became an official holiday of workers of all branches of communication.
