Day of military commissariat officers

The decree of the Soviet government of April 8, 1918 established local apparatuses for the formation of the Red Army - volost, district, provincial and district commissariats for military affairs.

One of the main tasks was to prepare the population for the introduction of compulsory military service. As soon as military commissariats are not called today: army envoys, the main soldier's reception. After all, it is here that the service of conscripts begins, here, sometimes with the last hope, as to a close relative, military retirees and veterans of the front line go for help in a difficult hour.

This, I think, is the reason for the appearance of the Day of Military Commissariats in the army calendar of Belarus, which, according to the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus No. 175 of March 10, 2003, is annually celebrated on April 8.
