Dudutki - Sula - Strochy
Description:
We will go on a fascinating journey in time to the world of ancient life!
- "Dudutki" -
For those forty minutes that takes the way from Minsk to the museum (50 km), you will see a panorama of the life of the Belarusian nobility. And this is not accidental - with Dudutki, located against the backdrop of the picturesque landscape of the Ptich River, the history of the Elsky family is connected, other estates of which, as well as other famous noble families (such as, for example, Gutten-Chapsky) are located nearby.
The museum itself is a very successful attempt to reconstruct the life of a former Folwark - a nobility economic complex. You will be offered an inspection of craft workshops (potter, blacksmith, weaver, baker, etc.), a miller's treat (lard, bread, onions), a treat on a brovary (old gentry vodka, traditional snack), a treat in a cafe (bread, cheese, butter, herbal tea), horse riding.
- "Sula."
In a picturesque place on the banks of the Sula River, the first Interactive History Park Museum in Belarus is located. Here the fine line between the present and the past is erased, and the amazing world of a bygone era opens up.
Visiting the History Park, you will plunge into the charming world of Belarus of the XVIII century. There is everything that personifies the culture of that time: a fully restored estate of the XVIII century with buildings made of hewn buttercup stone and fragments of brickwork of that time, a quietly dormant pond in the old park with relict trees, a stable with thoroughbred stallions and much more.
“Museum of Folk Architecture and Life”
The museum is interesting because all the buildings on its territory are authentic, they were dismantled and brought to the museum from different parts of the country.
The exposition of the museum is divided into three parts, each of which represents different regions of the country and looks like a village with residential buildings and outbuildings. In the museum you will see: Central Belarus, the Dnieper, Poozerye.
Each region has its own features, which are noticeable both in architecture and in the interior. In addition to residential and outbuildings in the museum you can see the mills, the church of the 18th century, the tavern of the mid-19th century. In the old days, the tavern was simultaneously an inn, a catering establishment and a home for the owner. Now the tavern is a cafe where you can have a delicious and hearty lunch.
