Rakov - Khutor Dudar

Description:

In the town of Rakov on the square there is a former Uniate, now Orthodox church of the end of the XVIII century, and next to it is a majestic neo-Gothic church of the beginning of the XX from local, yellow clay. The true gem of the trip can be a visit to the Yanushkevich Gallery, which will allow you to plunge into non-Soviet and non-peasant Belarus, and to Belarus, gentry and original. And then you will see that Rakov, which is now considered a small village, in the 20-30s was the capital of smugglers, there were several hundred entertainment venues where smugglers could spend "earned" money. And this is where the true king of smugglers comes from – Sergey Pyasetsky, the most popular author of interwar Europe.

After a walk in Rakov, we will find ourselves in a farm in the middle of the forest. Dudar’s farm is a real farm located in the center of the chronicle of Lithuania, where we will hear a concert of the game on all those instruments that were played on the territory of the VKL: lutes, horns, cymbals, dudas, violins, double basses, Bekker’s piano. Here we will get acquainted with a unique man Ales Los: a musician, a restorer, a man-orchestra who can play all these instruments. During an hour and a half concert we will learn a lot about the history of music, traditions of musical instruments of Belarus, where they came from, who was the ancestor. After that, we will talk with the master at a light dinner and return to Minsk by 10 p.m.
