About the company:
The Edison Carneiro Folklore Museum is an ethnographic museum founded in 1968 by folklorist, ethnographer and historian Edison Carneiro, one of the most important Brazilian researchers of popular culture.
The museum aims to study and preserve objects of Brazilian culture: engravings, paintings, ceramics, wood carvings. It is worth noting that only 10% of the collection is on permanent display. In parallel with permanent and temporary exhibitions, the museum regularly hosts video screenings, seminars and lectures.
The museum has a special hall in which each month the works of one or more artists on a certain topic are shown. This project expands the understanding of artists and their works, and also gives an opportunity to get acquainted with them.
