February 11, 2012 will be held the VI Festival of active winter recreation "Winter fun in Uglich"

In Uglich, Yaroslavl region, February 11, 2012 will be held the VI Festival of active winter recreation "Winter fun in Uglich". The purpose of the festival is to preserve the old and the emergence of new types of active winter recreation. The festival presents all types of winter entertainment and recreation, both old fun and innovations: snowmobile races (drag racing) for the prize from the general sponsor of the festival company Heverest.ru, walrus demonstrations and cold swimming competitions for prizes from Sberbank of Russia, winter motocross, homemade sled competition, mass ski race, motoplaning flights, winter fishing, horseback riding and “Winter folk games”. According to tradition, the festival will be held in the left-bank part of Uglich (the quarry area), as it is a particularly picturesque place and a convenient platform for organizing all routes.

With its five-year history, the festival has proved its popularity. The main winter celebration of the Uglich Territory was enjoyed by more than 20 thousand lovers of winter sports and entertainment from Uglich, Yaroslavl, Rybinsk, Vilsk, Moscow, Kostroma, Kalyazin, Vladimir, Cherepovets, Dubna, Krasnogorsk, Pereslavl, Novosibirsk and even Italy, Thailand and Brazil.
