“Aeroflot” overtook the leader of the world rating in the quality of onboard catering
Consulting company Skytrax, specializing in studying the quality of aviation services, named the best airlines in the world in the field of the annual World Airline Awards. The award is called a special “Aviation Oscar”.
More than 20 million people from hundreds of countries participated in the survey, the leader of the world ranking of airlines - Singapore Airlines. The airlines outperformed the previous winner of the prestigious Qatar Airways award, earning only silver.
Singapore Airlines is the leader in the nominations “Best Airline in Asia”, “Best First Class” and others. Experts believe that the victory was made possible due to the consistency in the development and continuous growth of the quality of service. In third place is All Nippon Airways.
Emirates (UAE), EVA Air (Taiwan), Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong), Lufthansa (Germany), Hainan Airlines (China), Garuda Indonesia (Indonesia) and Thai Airways (Thailand) were able to get into the top 10.
The Russian airline Aeroflot reached 23rd place in the world top, it was recognized for the sixth consecutive year as the best in Eastern Europe. For the first time, Aeroflot received the main award in the nomination “Best onboard catering in premium economy class”.
Winners in other categories: AirAsia (best low-cost airline), Lufthansa (airline in Europe), Norwegian (low-cost airline in Europe), Emirates (entertainment on board), Thai Airways (economy class).
The World Airline Awards have been awarded annually since 1999. In 2018, 355 airlines competed for the title of the best. Online voting took place from August 2017 to May 2018.
