The opening of the airport in Gelendzhik caused a real stir among tourists and travelers.
Tickets for the first and next flights sold out immediately after the start of sales. Tour operators note that the demand for bookings in Gelendzhik over the past week increased by 30%. This route was launched on July 18, and Aeroflot’s first flight from Moscow will be operated daily.
Starting today, Aeroflot will introduce regular flights from Moscow to Gelendzhik. The first flight is fully loaded. From the very beginning of sales, there was high demand, so we decided to add a second daily flight from August 1 and a third from August 8, said Dmitry Kravchenko, Director of Network and Revenue Management Department at Aeroflot.
Gelendzhik is rapidly developing as a tourist destination: new hotels and restaurants are being built, a complex dedicated to winemaking is being created, and the updated appearance of the embankment attracts travelers. On July 9, Alexander Bragin, Director of the Association of Tourist Aggregators (ATAG), noted that the number of booked hotels in Gelendzhik could increase by 35-45% due to the opening of the airport. He stressed that the interest of tourists to this resort in the summer of 2025 may increase several times.
