Airport in Gelendzhik resumes work

According to Rosaviatsia, Gelendzhik airport is ready to receive and send civilian aircraft from July 10.

Regular flights will be operated in the interval from 08:30 to 20:00 Moscow time. Since 2022, the airport is one of 11 southern airports in Russia that temporarily did not accept aircraft for security reasons.

Now specialists of the Federal Air Transport Agency and the State Air Traffic Management Corporation have confirmed the possibility of safe flight operations.

Aeroflot will increase the frequency of flights between Moscow and Gelendzhik: from July 18, flights will become daily, and from August 1 there will be a second flight per day, the company said.

Aeroflot expands the schedule of flights to the popular Black Sea resort of Gelendzhik. From July 18, flights from Moscow will be performed daily, and from August 1, the number of flights will increase to two per day. Earlier, on Wednesday, the airline reported the introduction of daily flights from July 25 and two flights a day from August 6.

The new terminal, built in 2021, has doubled the airport’s capacity. Infrastructure upgrades are expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

Amid news of the airport opening, the number of searches for “where to go” and “holidays in Gelendzhik” for July 9 doubled compared to the previous day, and bookings increased by 14%. This is a great reason to plan a vacation, travel and summer holiday in 2025 on the Black Sea coast!
