Sharks on Russian beaches
In the south of Primorye, many catran sharks came close to the beaches. To reassure vacationers, it should be reported that the katrans do not attack people. The size of these sharks sometimes reach one and a half meters. Dangerous they can only be two spikes located on the fins. This "coming" of sharks can be explained by the usual migration of fish in the summer. In search of food, these marine inhabitants go to the shores. But as a rule, this happens at the very beginning of summer, and in July the quatrans already swim at a depth of 70 meters. Previously, these sharks were caught for consumption, as their white, boneless meat resembles sturgeon. But now this has stopped, and only amateur fishermen catch them on fishing rods, since katran nets often tear their thorns.
