Alpine village in central Sydney
Sydney Winter Festival has inspired 80,000 Sydneyers to wake up from their winter hibernation and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Alpine winter right in the heart of this amazing city where it never snows!
In total, about 400,000 people are expected to take part in the festival - in addition to the center of Sydney, "winter festivities" will be held in the area of the famous Bondai Beach and in Melbourne.
The festival is held for the second time and this year its main idea was to create an atmosphere of an alpine village.
In all three venues of the festival the main entertainment will be skating. Rinks of about 600 square meters will be created. Around them there will be counters with European and Canadian delicacies, alpine ski houses and cabins with real fireplaces inside, and German bars where you can drink mulled wine and other traditional “winter” drinks.
The festival is held from 24 June to 25 July in Sydney and from 3 to 15 August.
