Association of tour operators of Russia called popular routes of summer holidays among Russians
The most popular destinations for organized holidays in the summer of 2022 - Russia and Turkey - the depth of sales of tours in Russia is higher than that of foreign ones.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reports: “Turkey ranks first in terms of sales for most large and medium-sized tour operators, although the number of bookings is 10-15% behind last year. More than 90% of the armor falls on the resorts of the province of Antalya - Alanya, Belek, Kemer and Side. The remaining 10% are tours to the Aegean coast, where there is now less direct transportation.
The average check for a summer tour to Turkey is 160-210 thousand rubles for two.
Russia is always a popular summer destination for Russian tourists who organize their travels independently. In 2022, our country was the first to become one of the best-selling destinations not only among tour operators for domestic tourism, but also large companies that previously sold mainly foreign tours.
The leader is the Krasnodar Territory, it accounts for 60% of sales of tour packages and accommodation in hotels. Crimea is in second place, with 12-15% of armour, with sales falling from 50 to 80% compared to last year. Third place was taken by St. Petersburg and Kavminvody
Among the popular regions are also Karelia, the North Caucasus, where charters flew for the first time, the Kaliningrad region, the Altai, the Moscow region, sanatoriums of the middle strip and Tatarstan.
The top 5 most popular destinations among tour operators include Abkhazia, UAE, Egypt.
Among the most notable trends of the summer season of 2022, ATOR highlights the drop in the depth of sales, which is now even lower than during the pandemic.
ATOR predicts that the number of tourists vacationing at Russian resorts will fall compared to 2021 due to the closure of some airports in the southern regions.
At the same time, the tourist flow will increase in their own or neighboring regions (for example, the Moscow region), and in those regions of Russia where tour operators with the support of Rosturizm have delivered charters.
