Aviadeboshire arrested. First criminal case for violation of transport safety rules
The first criminal case was opened in our country against Aviadeboshir: on May 22, 2017, a court in Khimki arrested a man detained at Sheremetyevo Airport. The plane was flying to Moscow from Tel Aviv.
“In respect of the passenger of the plane flying on the flight Tel Aviv – Moscow, who during the flight threatened the safety of the liner and people, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Hooliganism” and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.
It should be noted that the arrested 50-year-old citizen of Israel in a state of alcoholic intoxication insulted flight attendants and stewards, and tried to break down the door of the aircraft.
“This case is the first precedent with the initiation of a criminal case against the aviadeboshira, after the adoption of the bill, which introduces criminal liability for violators of law and order on transport,” said Irina Volk.
Last month, President Vladimir Putin signed a law on liability for violation of transport safety rules.
