Air carriers are offered to introduce uniform tariffs for baggage transportation, regardless of the stage and method of its purchase.
This proposal, sent to the head of the Ministry of transport Roman Starovoit, came from the first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on education Yana Lantratova.
In her address, she pointed to a number of problems that Russians face when flying, including the high cost of baggage and the opacity of pricing for this service. For example, the cost of baggage at the check-in stage is much higher than when buying a ticket online.
The MP proposes to establish uniform standards for the cost of baggage, taking into account the type of route (domestic or international) and the type of flight (regular or charter). This could make the process more understandable and accessible to passengers!
