Exactly 100 years ago, a real boom in aeronautics began in our country - the first flight of a Russian pilot on an airplane by Mikhail Nikiforovich Efimov was carried out for the first time. In 1910, for the first time, it was in Russia, created a military aviation school pilots. This is the famous Sevastopol officer school of aviation, and the future even more famous in the USSR Kachin Red Banner Military Aviation School of pilots, which graduated from the best aces of our Air Force.
Volgograd citizens are proud of Kachi and Kachin residents and are preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their native school at the highest level in order to pay a well-deserved tribute to the aviators who made a worthy and vivid contribution to the heroic history of the region and continue today to add glory to the hero city with new exploits and Stars of Heroes of Russia.
On September 4, 2010, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Russian aviation and the 100th anniversary of the Kachinsky School, as a sign of respect for the Great Military Glory of the hero city of Volgograd and the thousands-strong gathering of aviators, an air show will be held, with the participation of the best aerobatic squadrons of the Russian Air Force: Falcons of Russia (the only aerobatic group that demonstrates elements of air combat at low altitudes on combat aircraft), Russian Knights (the holder of a number of world records) and Swifts (aer crew on MiG-29 fighters). All the best that Russian Aviation has achieved in its 100-year development, the power of modern aviation equipment and the skill of pilots will be demonstrated to the participants of the holiday within 1.5 hours. The program of performances: single and group aerobatics, air battles, as well as demonstration performances of small aircraft and paratroopers. The holiday will end with strategic bombers Tu160.
The air show will take place at 16.00 over the water area of the Volga River opposite the Central embankment of the city of Volgograd.
