Bali will launch quarantine yachts for tourists
Indonesian officials were creative about quarantine. The management of the exotic destination has replaced the mandatory 5-day quarantine stay at the hotel with a similar time pastime on spetsyachts and ships off the coast of Bali.
Vacationers will be able to enjoy active types of recreation - diving and swimming.
The unconventional solution was beneficial to local business. Ngadiman Sudiaman, director of the water transport rental company, told the Jakarta Post that the decision will revive the maritime tourism industry and bring back to work thousands of ships and pinisi – traditional Indonesian sailing boats, and therefore will bring income to ship owners.
The international borders of Bali opened on October 14, but Russia was not included in the list of open countries.
Travelers entering the resort island must be given a negative test result for Covid-19 along with proof of vaccination and undergo a 5-day quarantine in designated hotels at their own expense. Bali has trained 35 specialty hotels in green areas and areas with low coronavirus incidence.
