Heads of tour operators note an increase in sales on Baikal by 40-50% compared to the season-2019.
Cashback also stimulated the growth of demand for tours in the direction at the beginning of the season, thanks to the promotion, the sale of tours to Baikal increased 3 times.
Most of the visits to Baikal in 2021 fall on July and August.
Demand is used tours with departure from Irkutsk. The average duration of the trip is 5-7 days.
Tourists choose Irkutsk because of convenient transport logistics, the possibility of railway communication, an extensive flight network from different cities of the country.
An important trend that tour operators talk about is the emergence of more variation, both in tours and in accommodation options due to the absence of Chinese tourists this season.
Thanks to more affordable accommodation options, the audience of Baikal destinations has also expanded: in particular, there are more family and young tourists on excursion routes, but due to the increase in the cost of services of all suppliers against the backdrop of closed borders and current inflation, the cost of tours to Baikal this year has risen by 10-15%.
“Tourist resorts on Lake Baikal offer different prices in summer. There are guest houses of economy class, in which you can stay for at least 800 rubles per day per person.
