Bus tours from Belarus to Crimea can be launched this year.
The possibility of the route was discussed by representatives of the travel agencies of the republics during the videoconference "Crimea - Armenia - Belarus: ways of mutual cooperation".
Chairman of the Board of the Republican Union of Travel Industry in Belarus Philip Guly: It is necessary to promote bus communication from Belarus to the Crimea. Due to the transport logistics location, we have good transport parks, a large team of guides. I think we need a joint initiative here, we need to bring it even to the federal level.
He recalled that the practice of such trips for recreation in the Crimea developed in the country long before the events around the peninsula and Ukraine. In addition, in Belarus, due to its geographical location, most of the outbound tourist flow to Europe was focused on bus tours.
The Minister of resorts and tourism of Crimea Vadim Volchenko supported the initiative of Belarusian colleagues.
Traveling from Belarus to Crimea by bus takes an average of 36 hours. There are no direct air and rail links between the two countries.
