Bulgaria to simplify visa regime for tourists from Russia
Bulgaria is working to simplify the visa regime for Russians. This information was reported by Valerie Simeonov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic. He said he was personally dealing with the matter.
Currently, the possibility of introducing electronic visas for Russian citizens is being considered. This requires changes to the law on tourism, and work is already underway. Earlier it was reported that the local authorities are considering the possibility of reducing the cost of visas for Russians.
The new mechanism can be launched by the beginning of the summer season of 2018 and, as the Bulgarian side expects, will lead to an increase in interest from travelers from Russia.
