Flight attendants revealed the secrets of moving passengers to business class from economy

Members of one of the crews of the aircraft shared with MailOnline Travel information about how passengers move from economy class to business class.

The most common way is to try to seep into a business class and take a place there, hiding under a blanket. To which one of the flight attendants remarked to the enterprising passenger that “this is not an invisibility cloak”, and he asked why he could not stay there if this place was not occupied. Some tourists openly try to occupy empty seats, for example, claiming that they are “lost”.

You can also “lost” the boarding pass in place. The crew members recalled tourists who claimed that they were entitled to business class “for medical reasons”, allegedly presenting a certificate from a doctor. Since the last flight attendants offered to take the full amount for the ticket, so that the difference is then returned with the help of medical insurance.

Another traveler, flight attendants said, simply stuck his head through a curtain into a business class cabin and asked for a “glass of wine and something tasty.” His appeal went unanswered.

“Some passengers feel that getting into business class is a fun game, but the consequences can be serious,” says Jay Robert, a specialist in international carriers. "These places are the products we sell, and when you try to take something you didn't pay for, it's stealing."

The business class crew is aware of how many passengers it has, and the consequences of the game can be serious. A person who has taken the wrong place is escorted back through the cabin to the place for which he paid, commenting on the reasons for such a “convoy”. A passenger can receive an appropriate crew attitude for the rest of the trip and be placed on unofficial blacklists "forever." A tourist can be detained by the security service after leaving the plane to receive payment for the difference in fares.

The publication also publishes comments of “resourceful” passengers, they say that the most uncomfortable part of the flight after the “disembarkation” from business class was that his place in the economy was taken by his enterprising colleague and he spent 14 hours on the spot in the middle of the row.
