Children under 12 can enter Turkey without a PCR test
On September 9, the Turkish Interior Ministry announced that children under 12 will not need a negative coronavirus test to enter Turkey.
“Children under the age of 12 will be exempted from a PCR negative coronavirus test, vaccination certificate or antigen test when entering Turkey.”
Previously, entry without a PCR test was allowed to children under six years old, and the new rules will be in effect until the end of September, with subsequent extension or revision of the requirements.
Travellers over 12 years old will need this certificate to enter the Republic of Turkey. The COVID-19 test must be done no earlier than 72 hours before arrival and the rapid antigen test must be done no earlier than 48 hours before arrival. Passengers who have undergone a full course of vaccination against coronavirus at least 14 days before the trip, as well as persons who have a certificate of already transferred disease issued over the past six months, are exempt from this obligation.
