For travel agencies will reduce taxes

The Ministry of Finance is preparing a bill that returns tax benefits to travel agents: reduced rates of insurance premiums. This was told in the Secretariat of Senator Igor Fomin, who oversees tourism in the upper house of the Russian Parliament.

 

Since July 2016, a new All-Russian Classifier of Economic Activities (OKVED-2) travel agents have lost this privilege and the amount of insurance premiums for them has increased from 20 to 30%. According to experts, this has disrupted the entire industry, and the return of the old order will help support business.

 

The activity of travel agencies refers to small business, and in the current economic situation it is in dire need of state support or at least the preservation of previous benefits. In addition, an increase in the tax burden on travel agencies will lead to undesirable consequences for the travel industry as a whole, Fomin said.

 

The draft law on amendments to subparagraph 5 of paragraph 1 of Article 427 of the Code will specify the name of economic activities in accordance with OKVED-2, which allow USN payers to retain the right to apply reduced rates of insurance premiums. It is noted that these include insurance contributions for compulsory medical insurance and social insurance and pension contributions.
