Dominican Republic abandons coronavirus restrictions
The Dominican government has decided to lift all covey restrictions in the country.
President Luis Abinader said that from now on everyone should take care of themselves.
“The use of a mask, the need to produce a vaccination certificate to access all places or other restrictions are now a personal responsibility of each of us. After a long battle, we began to regain our freedom.”
Abinader said the country needed emotional recovery and a reversal of the pandemic.
According to the head of state, the current situation is not dangerous for residents and guests of the country - the health care system can cope with the load.
The government will continue to offer citizens free COVID-19 vaccine.
