Will Egypt be open before the New Year? Do Russians have enough seats in hotels?
From December 9, a delegation of experts from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation checks security at the airports of the main resorts Egypt - Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh.
This happened after the end of the exhibition in Cairo, where Russia presented more than 300 pieces of equipment.
The Egyptian side is optimistic and is waiting for the launch of Russian flights to the resorts of the Red Sea. Russian experts believe that if there are no surprises, then Russian airlines and tour operators will receive permission to fly to Egyptian resorts in the next 2 weeks, that is, before the New Year holidays.
The tour operators themselves are likely to launch flights in January. Representatives of Egyptian travel agencies believe that Russians may face a shortage of seats in the most popular hotels in Hurghada, and it is better not to wait for low prices at the start of charters.
At resorts in quality hotels, the load even in mid-December, i.e. in the lowest season, is surprisingly high. The demand for holidays in Egypt increased from Eastern and Western Europe, as well as from neighboring Arab states.
At the same time, according to experts, “extreme” price growth due to the shortage of rooms should not be afraid. Egypt's high hotel occupancy in the low season of early December was caused by junk prices. But with the return of the Russian market, hotel prices should rise.
