Egypt awaits Russian tourists

Egypt expects the return of Russian tourists, all requirements for ensuring flight safety are provided by the Egyptian side, said the speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Egypt Ali Abdel Al at a meeting with the Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia (SF) Valentina Matviyenko.

According to the speaker, the possibility of restoring air traffic is actively discussed. We have long been waiting for the return of Russian tourists to Egypt. During my last visit to Moscow, we discussed this, and we also discussed it on the sidelines of the parliamentary assembly conference in Geneva. We talked about the return of tourism, direct flights to Egyptian airports, he said.

Ali Abdel Al noted that many are already wondering when tourist flights from Russia will resume. According to reports of friendship, the Russian side should accept the demands of Egypt regarding the resumption of tourist flow.

Despite the fact that the requirements of Egypt have been fulfilled, and agreements with Russian President Vladimir Putin were reached in December, air traffic has not yet resumed.

Valentina Matviyenko will also hold meetings with Egyptian Presidents Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail. At the meetings, the parties will discuss issues of mutual cooperation, international problems and cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
