European mobile operators want to cover their losses at the expense of Russian tourists: roaming prices soared 5 times

Russian mobile operators warned tourists about the possible rise in the price of roaming in Europe.

According to representatives of the largest Russian companies, the rise in prices is associated with the introduction of roaming-free space in the EU.

“We do not rule out that European operators will try to compensate for lost revenues by revising prices for other operators,” Tele2 spokesman Konstantin Prokshin said.

The company noted that European operators in advance began to prepare for changes and raised tariffs for Russian companies last year. At the same time, according to some media reports, recently EU mobile operators sent a notice to MegaFon that tariffs for interoperator payments increased by 482%.
