EU does not plan to open borders with Russia in the near future

In the updated “white list” of states with which the EU advises to resume communication, Russia is not.

This information was shared with TASS informed source. The list should be made public soon.

The next revision of the list of countries is expected around mid-August, that is, the European Union will not open its borders with Russia at least before this date.

The list now includes 13 countries and is expected to decline. This is due to the growing number of coronavirus infections in the world, which forces the EU leadership to return to restrictive measures.

The advisory nature of the document suggests that EU members can open or not open borders to “allowed” countries at will, but will not allow entry to people from “banned” countries.
