France ready to extend visas to Russian citizens
France From June 1, it will begin accepting documents of Russian citizens for the extension of multiple-entry five-year visas that expired during the pandemic.
The French consulate in Moscow said that the presence of a visa is not an automatic permit to enter the country.
" . The issuance of visas does not guarantee immediate entry into the national territory of France, which remains subject to epidemiological and medical restrictions at the borders.”
The list of categories of travelers who are eligible to enter France is published on the website of the Ministry of the Interior.
To apply for a visa extension, you must provide a passport with a “short-term multiple entry visa for a period of 5 years issued by France and expired in the period 2020 or 2021.” The period of validity of the document shall be terminated on the date of application.”
Russians with expired multiple-entry visas can make an appointment to apply for a visa at one of the 18 visa centers in Russia. Documents are accepted five days a week in Moscow, three days a week in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Rostov on the Don and day a week in other regional visa centers.
From June 1, the acceptance of documents for issuing long-term student visas for the next academic year, working visas and documents for family reunification will resume.
