In the Krasnodar Territory in 2020, the geography of municipalities will expand, where the resort fee will be collected.

Four more settlements of the region will begin the resort collection. Therefore, the tourist tax will be valid in 12 cities and settlements of the region.

The resort fee (10 rubles) is charged from the middle of 2019 from vacationers who stay in officially registered accommodation facilities, in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Hot Key, Sochi, in Shepsinsky, Nebugsky, Novomikhaylovsk and Dzhubginsky rural settlements.

In 2020, Dolzhansk, Yeisk, Tenginsk, Tuapse settlements are added.

Tour operators believe that the organized tourist flow to these destinations is very small, independent travelers come there for the sake of a budget holiday.

In total, these settlements give 1-2% of the organized tourist flow to the Krasnodar Territory. That is why they were not included in the first wave of the resort fee — S. Romashkin, Director of the tour operator Dolphin.

About the “non-standard” choice of new locations for the introduction of the resort fee say the representatives of the national tour operator ALEAN. So, the Tengin settlement is relatively far from the sea, in Dolzhansky, Yeisky, Tuapse there are no hotels 4 and 5 *.

According to experts, due to the small number of official places of accommodation, the introduction of a resort fee in these settlements will not lead to a decrease in tourist flow and to noticeable economic enrichment.

“This is such a technical correction of collection plans,” Romashkin says.

ALEAN representatives: the resort fee is not “news” for tourists, and there are no problems with paying for it in the new territories.
